Triwizard Tournament Maze Puzzle
This is a artwork I did for LitJoyCrate, a group of people who product and sell amazing crates to fans of fantasy&magical world and young-adult novels around the world.
The crate I took part in is called : Magical Edition Year 4th
which is basically the crate that collect items related to the 4th book from one of the most beloved novel for most people around the world including me; Harry Potter. There are cards, bookmarks and other special stuffs that relevant to Goblet of Fire, the 4th book in the series.
I had a privilege to produce an artwork to be made as a puzzle that be including into the crate. The story of the puzzle will show the scene when Harry joined the third task of Triwizard Tournament. He had to get through to the sphinx and figure out her riddle in order to pass the task and titled as a champion of the tournament.
I really enjoyed drawing Hogwarts castle as a background of the maze. The maze part was quite difficult to draw so, I use image references, and draw upon it.
The Sphinx character was also a fun part to develop.The LitJoy team requested it to have an element of Egytian which is really challenging for me. I also had to hide an answer of the riddle inside the maze where the owner of each crate will not too easy to find it when they successfully finish the puzzle.
